Fishing after a rain??
What are your experiences fishing right after a hard rain? Gulf and rivers?

Re: Fishing after a rain??
It really depends on the type of rain (frontal with days of sustained wind or short duration showers).
The time of year too.
Cloud cover in the winter or spring can 'kill' a bite, but in the heat of summer can be the spark of relief that sets up a bite.
The rivers are much more affected by rain.
The duration of those effects are for a shorter period in the local rivers, but more postponed and prolonged with the large rivers in the Mobile Delta.(RETIRED) mostly.

The rain didn't affect the Sheepies at the pier. As #er said, rivers and such prob have a more substantial effect.

This Thanksgiving, I'm thankful for an abundant fishery and a magnificent pier, from which to access that fishery. I'm thankful for the morning view of the sunrise and what a spectacular view it is...
Happy Thanksgiving!
