That link didn't work for me. I wish it did so I could use it to plan next year's trip.

Just in time for the Mobile Boat Show! Stop by the Alabama Marine Resources booth (downstairs) and pick up your copy of the 2016 Marine Information Calendar. Deliveries to our normal distribution sites in Mobile and Baldwin counties will begin Monday, Feb. 22, if you are unable to pick one up at the Mobile Boat Show.
Looks like a rough week for my spring trip. Unfortunately, I can't schedule my trips around the moons loop...yet.
The first week of May has a neap tide mid-week. Does a neap tide slow fishing in the Lagoon as adversely as the surf/pier?
Yes, we will have them at the boat show! I will be working the 5 Rivers display Saturday, stop by and say hi!
The problem you will have with the first week of May will be trying to not catch fish The tide may affect the surf and little lagoon a tad but for the pier I never pay any attention to the tide for Spanish Kings Blues etc Be there at first light and you'll catch them
I agree, I don't think tides have as large an affect on spanish, kings, etc... Spec fishing in the bay & rivers is a whole different story. When its neap tide I will fish the pier vs. the bay & river.
How are the fish biting I'm a Michigander and we will be down there during spring break this year with my family (including my in-laws so I might find myself out fishing a bit more than normal, lol). My brother was down there last year during spring break and they were catching all kinds of fish off the pier and made a comment in regards to how overly helpful most of the locals were down there.
t-roy, the best place I found when trying to prepare for the upcoming spring fishing was in the forum reports from spring break last year. Good information on what was biting what days and what the weather, wind, water clarity, etc. were like on the days fish were being caught in good numbers. Here is the link to one of those pages. Hopes this helps and good luck with in-laws. I know that feeling all too well.. Have fun!

T-roy, you have a good start by joining the forum, welcome! If they are catching anything off the pier they will tell you about it. If they are not, they will be talking about something else. If they are catching them else where they might tell you, or at least give you a hint where you could catch a fish, and maybe even what they caught them on. They are good honest people that you can trust, they will not lead you astray. Tight Lines!!!!!
Thank you for responding flyguy. My 94yr old grandmother lives in Foley ago whenever we go to GS we always stop in for a while to see her and then it's off to the pier with at least 1 of my kids. Last year my brother and his 2 sons were catching sharks of the end and had an absolute riot with them and some Spanish mackerel. Thanks again and I'll be sure to check in here ad it gets closer to April. Have a blessed day
J&M got them in yesterday,so I would assume most b&t shops will have them as well.
