2025 5pm PIER CLOSURES
Copied from "Cajun" on GS Pier Facebook page:
Due to freezing temperatures the Gulf State Park Fishing and Educational Pier will close at 5pm on the following dates:
Monday 1/6
Tuesday 1/7
Wednesday 1/8
Park staff will assess the air temperature each following morning at 7am to determine when the water lines can be turned back on.

More closures slated for this week ...
From Charles Smith on January 17th:
Due to expected freezing conditions the Gulf State Park Fishing and Educational Pier will close on the following dates and times:
Sunday, January 19th - Close at 5:00pm
Monday, January 20th - Close at 5:00pm
Tuesday, January 21st - Closed all day
Wednesday, January 22nd - Close at 5:00pm
Park staff will make an assessment each morning to determine when the temperature has risen enough to turn the water on.

Good news, the pier will reopen at 7am Saturday morning, and resume normal winter operating hours.

Caught 1 fishing out of port Canaveral back in the 70's, it was around 20lbs, thought it was a shark lol.thanks for sharing
