They were doing that last year down at Fort Morgan under dock lights. All about 4" long.

I've seen them like that before on shallow/inland water rigs and platforms. Scavengers waiting for a meal, you could literally spit in the water and the school would go nuts looking for it. Not sure what the case is in the pic but that's what it reminds me of.

I was fishing at Fairhope pier one night and caught a catfish and plopped it onto the pier and all of a sudden babies started coming out of it's mouth. There were 14 in there. Put them all back in. Know they are pest but had to give them a sporting chance!
