Alabama Dept. of Public Health has issued its list of fish consumption advisories.

So essentially, for our area, it's two fish, Largemouth bass from Lake Shelby (do not eat), as well as (do not eat) King Mackerel from the gulf over 39 inches (both species contain high levels of mercury).

Honestly, I am not sure Tom. But your speculation has merit as recent rains would have brought an influx of nutrients into eastern LL and a subsequent increase in macroscopic life feeding on that...
