Are the convicts biting??
Just got boat out of the shop. just wondering if the sheepshead are biting good anywhere? I usually fish the jetties or a spot in the canal for them. Thanks!

Spent about 4 hours in canal where i usually catch em and not a nibble

Water temp (in Perdido Bay) is actually a little below average (72) for this date...
This cool snap should drop the water temps a few more degrees and kick things off.
The high salinity (from lack of rain upstate) may delay the normal egress of sheepshead from upper Mobile Bay though.
In the past, the persistent presence of pinfish has been my biggest deterrent to catching sheepshead prior to Thanksgiving.Last edited by Pier#r; 11-19-2016 at 12:30 PM.

Some have been caught in the Pcola area, it's getting close to time. I love sheepshead season, great time to stock up on groceries.
