Blackfin Tuna and Dolphin Fish Size and Creel Limits

There is nothing on the size and creel limit page on outdooralabama.com in regards to blackfin tuna and dolphin fish-dorado-mahi. Does that mean there are no size or creel limits? Just wondering because I'm sure I will be hooking lots of them from the pier. Well not really but just in case.

Correct, no bag or size limits in state waters on mahi or blackfin.

There was some discussion a while back about putting a 10 fish limit on mahi, but it never happened.
If you ever get into a school of chicken dolphin offshore, its can be crazy easy to fill a cooler with very tasty fish.
They are a short-lived species (3-4 years max life span for most of them) that reproduces well, so they hold up to fishing pressure pretty well.

CarlF is correct, no limit on either Pompano Dolphin(chicken) or the offshore variety Bull Dolphin, no limits on Blackfin that I know of.

Blackfin, Bonito (true) and Little Tunny (our bonito) are not regulated. See page 16 - not underlined (note at bottom).

People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.
