The wife an I use a small inflatable called Mariner , made by Intex. Fits easily in trunk and will handle any trolling motor. The whole boat kit is less than a days rental cost. Would not want to take it out in the Gulf, but it's great for bays and lakes. Ours is 11' long and has plenty of room for two.Quote:

I don't know if they still do or not, but you use to be able to rent john boats over at Lake Shelby for use in the lake.
Has anyone else out there used the Intex inflatable and if so how did it work?
