City oddinances prohibit camping or shark fish in OB and GS.
I kinda figured that about gulf shores but is there any place in pensacola?
Fort Pickens used to have a campground, but I don't know of anywhere you can just set up a campsite on the beach.
I'm afraid camping on the beach has gone to the land of the nickle candy bar. Gone, Gone.
Oh how I miss the Good Old Days!
In the mid '80s, the red sticker (top center of windshield) was $10 per year and permitted driving on beach, camping, whatever at Johnson Beach, Fl.

Bob Sikes bridge, sleep in your car or on the concrete...if you have a boat, camping is allowed on the island as your leaving the pass, west side....at least they have events there over the weekends
Mcree island

I believe primitive camping (and shark fishing) is allowed at Johnson's Beach, Gulf Islands National Seashore, in Perdido Key, FL. It is about 10-15min. or so past the Flora-Bama.
Park near the end of the main road and walk east past the "camping allowed" sign.
a camping permit is required, available at the entrance gate.
