Canal Park
Has anyone ever done any fishing from the platform at Canal Park on the Intracoastal Waterway? I rode by there yesterday, and saw a few people fishing there. What can you catch from the shore there, and how would you go about catching them?
Thanks,

The water is quite shallow under and to the east of the deck, but there is deeper water out toward the bridge bumpers.
I have only caught small ladyfish and pinfish there on hook & line.
Perhaps a live shrimp on a slip float rig out toward the bumper would catch redfish, sheepshead, flounder, etc.
it is a good place to catch bait at times though...

Catfish, catfish, catfish and catfish. And catfish. If it were in the TN river we would refer to it as a "gar hole".
