Anyone here ever stayed at the huge Caribe Resort just across Perdido Pass on the Left? We are thinking of staying there next year. They have 3 huge boat dock/piers structures and I was wandering how the fishing was off the docks? Thanks Guys!!

I don't know about off their docks, but across the street is a good stretch of beach with some good surf fishing, depending on the time of year. They will take you across the higway (under the Perdido Pass bridge) in a shuttle.
Current really rips along there on a falling tide. Im willing to bet there are redfish and sheepshead around all that structure and flounder along the seawall.
And as Haywire indicated, good fishing along the beach and jetties just around the corner.
Whatever you do don't harvest the oysters growing on the floatation around the docks!
The area is closed to oyster harvest due to there not being any reefs and it’s not regularly sampled for bacteria as open harvest areas are. But otherwise the water quality in lower Perdido is generally good.
I know someone who might have once found some big clumps of big oysters in a grassbed down there one day in February. I hear they were some of the best raw oysters he ever ate!
I know somebody who used to wade the little sloughs and cuts on Walker Island who regularly found some of those same oysters, but those days are long past---back then there were grass flats out there that held some fine speckled trout. No more.
Wonder why too??? There is more acreage than of grassbeds in lower Perdido now than anytime since the 1960’s. You’d think it would be a great place for specs, especially top water.
Depending on time of year, you will catch juvenile Mangrove Snapper (early summer through fall) with a "very" occasional keeper, Flounder on the westernmost end of the docks on the drop-off (fall is best), sheepshead in late winter/early spring, but there are better places to fish for them, bluefish between the docks and the bridge, on bottom you will catch croaker, redfish, and the trash fish assortment of lizardfish, toadfish, sea robins, puffers, etc. Every once in a while, white trout will congregate near the docks and you can catch a few. Also, night fishing with live bait on a mild outgoing current can produce a nice speck every now and then.
