I'm in the market for a new pier cart. I've been looking around online and have found that academy have there utility carts on sale for $79.99 for the 1000 model which is 50ins long and 24ins wide. Also $49.99 for there 400 model, 34in long and 18.5in wide. Has anyone use either of them? I bring a medium sized cooler, bait bucket, tackle box and rods. I also drive in from Arkansas so it needs to break down. Any input will be great.
if you have a Reese hitch you could buy a carrier for that, to give extra room ....just a thought

Sea Striker has a new cart that will be out in the fall and the retail is going to be around $119. The nice thing about the cart is that the bolt on rod holders are the uprights that hold the top hoop to the bottom. That feature will be very handy for storage and travel. I have no idea when they will be at retailers.
Does J&M carry the balloon wheel conversion kits for the Fish-n- Mate carts ?
Yes,but they cost around $125. Seems Damn expensive to me....

I use one of the utility carts like academy sells I put pvc rod holders on all 4 sides and it works great only down side for me is its carbon steel so the salt does a number on it after a while but with you being in Arkansas it should last you many years.

I put this together with a fold flat cart from Costco. Bolted rod holders to each end (using wing nuts, they have to come off to allow the cart to fold) and called it good. Enough room to hold a small cooler and a 5 gal bucket-my version of an easy access tackle box. Pretty handy and it stores easily, a good cart if you need to save some room.
