I wonder if you could also glue the center after filling it with water or whatever? I've had a couple where after sometime the center would pop out draining the water from inside. I'm sure you can but I never thought about it. Definitely am going to get some shoe glue and try it! Would save a lot of time. Great idea for sure!!!!! Thanks Haywire!

The Rainbow Plastics "Tough Bubbles" feature a tapered peg in the center.

You want to be sure the larger end is on the bottom of the rig (toward the hook) and the narrower end toward the rod.
This prevents the peg from slipping out of place and allows the bubble to drain at the end of the day.
I'm not sure sure about Mr. Wire's bourbon, but if seawater is left in the bubble it will eventually become putrid after being stored a few days.

I have a group of weighted popping corks, with rattles, from 30 yrs. ago. Being as I am an el cheapo, those are what I am going to throw on the beach this year. They look to be fine; they were an impulse buy in Destin, way back when.
