Do the fish stand a chance?

Its had got to be the live scope type stuff, it has turned fishing into a video game, at least BASS has outlawed them for this year.

Just saw a story about using a drone to spot a school of tarpon from the beach and flying your bait to them. One was just caught this way off Pensacola beach. I admit that this would be a blast, but hope this technique doesn't catch on.

I remember reading a short story on the last page of a fishing magazine, back 40+ years ago called something like "The Last Tuna".
It chronicled the hunt for the last bluefin tuna in the world.
They became extinct because the technology to find them in the ocean rapidly evolved, and as they became scarcer the price skyrocketed. (think rhino horn)
Anyway, it was an intriguing story because it discussed a lot of the technological changes that we are now seeing used on a daily basis.
I just hope it never comes to be ...

A quick note that I am not a lawyer and neither are most people providing the information here that I found on the internet.

I did a quick internet search which suggested that drone fishing was illegal or questionable under Alabama law [Alabama apparently also bans Livescope technology for fishing as do several other states] . Drones are prohibited in some state parks in Florida and flatly prohibited for actually fishing because they are considered a "vessel". Drones are also prohibited in National Parks including national seashores. So just because someone did it and posted publicly doesn't mean they won't get a knock on the door.
