The information you seek is at your fingertips! Use the "search" feature at the top right of the page. Check the daily reports. Use the "What's biting when" sticky under Pier Questions. Best of luck. Good weather ahead.

You have a lot of reading to do! There are daily fishing reports here! There are charts telling you "what's biting, when". There are lots and lots of "how to" instructions on catching the various species, what you need to use to catch them, how to rig, what bait to use, how to care for your catch, how to clean your catch and how to cook it! Fishermen from the Gulf Shores pier have been very generous in cataloging everything you need to know about the pier fishing experience. All you have to do is read. It's already here!
So start with the recent fishing reports. Then utilize the SEARCH bar to find out what you need to do to catch THOSE fish. Pier fishing is a matter of targeting a species of fish to go after, so that's the first order of business.
