For what??????? I love trick questions.
Same question, what are you going to do with that monstrosity????
All my years bottom fishing offshore, I never used anything bigger than a 113H.
Anchor maybe...?
course maybe I shouldn't joke with someone named Psychobilly.
I have mine on a Penn International VS5010TS60 6’0” rod. I have never liked the idea of roller guides mixed with sand so this International has Pac Bay turbo guides all the way to the tip. I use mine exclusively for land based shark fishing and have been very impressed with the quality for an off-the-shelf rod at this price point. I also have the same rod matched with a 12/0 that gets used a lot more often. Spooled with straight 100# Sufix on both, but added a 200 yard topshot of 130# on the 14/0 for added power during the last few minutes of the fight.
Here's the 12/0 on said rod-the 14/0 is still on loan from the Blacktip Challenge.

hey dutch, i was wantin to get into big time shark fishing off the beach and was wondering where you go to do most of your fishing. a friend of mine told me it was illegal to do it on any alabama beach. Is that right? or are there spots on like fort morgan where its legal.
I believe there are a few select spots where it's legal to fish for sharks in the Fort Morgan area, not exactly sure where though. I'm sure Dutch can help you out.
A rod for that thing? Just put some guides on a crowbar.
