The popping cork, Cajun thunder, or bay slayer works good for specs.

When you say worm hook, do you mean Texas rigged?

Seems it would be difficult to set hook on a weedless rig with a popping cork. Just thinking outloud...

yeah mane jig head ..i used them little gulp mullet like a Carolina rig before and got a flounder one time
