Purchasing Shrimp for Whiting fishing
This might be worthy of consideration. When I'm fishing for whiting, I only need small shrimp, since I use a really small hook (Owner Circle Hook #4)
There's a guy in Pensacola that sells them fresh off the boat for $2.00 a pound.
A guy who has a vacuum-sealer could keep his shrimp fresh-frozen for the next month or however long the whiting bite until it gets too cold (I don't like to fish in the cold!).
I'll continue to get my live shrimp from J & M, but the bulk shrimp deal seems too good to pass up!

When the whiting are biting you fill an ice chest with a pound of shrimp. $2 for an ice chest of whiting is a giod deal!

Paul is a great guy and always has some great deals on bait. Usually get shrimp from him and never had any issues at all.

OK, nevermind, I see it now.People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Frednic, if I were in Pcola it would be nice to stop in. I usually get fresh from Aquila seafood. They're 3.99 a pound but just tails. Since there's about 50% waste with the heads on, they should be about the same price in Bon Secure and not as for of a drive. I do like the guys shrimp for eating and he's got some biguns!
