Not so much the rain but the 20mph winds we had for the past 45 hours will screw things up for a couple days.The tidal movement is slow today and that should help settle the silt and tomorrow once the tide starts pushing again, hopefully it will bring in some clear water as long as it keeps pushing East to West.If it's going West to East it could take a little longer due to rain water flowing out of Mobile Bay.I'm in no way an expert on the subject but that's my two cents.
I'm trying to decide whether I should let my son out of school tomorrow so we can fish for kings. I don't want to waste a school day for him if we don't have a good chance of catching something.

??? ::)
I think you just answered your own question.
Saturday will be just as good (if not better) and he will not miss any school ;)
I think I'm looking for a reason to allow him to go fishing with me on Friday ;). He has his senior prom on Saturday, so Friday may be the only chance to go. I just hope that the rain doesn't shut down the kings or reds. We will be in kayaks and don't want it to be just a paddling trip. LOL
Father son bonding..............don't pass it up.
Who cares if you don't catch fish
Enjoy the day with him.
I agree. There's nothing that I enjoy more than spending time with my son. He still enjoys fishing with his dad so I count my blessings that he still does. Most boys at his age (17) don't want to spend time with their dad. I just hope that we will still have some kind of chance of catching a king or red. There's nothing like seeing the smile on his face when he catches a good fish.
We're going Saturday, hopefully I can hook the boy up with his first king, he did great on the spanish back in March.
My son caught his first king this year. He caught it out of a kayak and now he is hooked. It gives me more opportunity to spend time with him. :)
Hi everyone, new to the group, viking guy told me about this forum so I joined. Getting ready to head to the pier and hope the fishing is good out there. Going to have a great time, my son hasn't fished since his preteen years.
