fishing in fairhope
Hello and thanks for letting me join your forum..
I'll be in fairhope oct.4/5.The only fishing time I will have is the afternoon of both days.I would like to find a place that I could wade and have a chance at getting a strike or two..The place I'm staying is not far from the fairhope pier.Guess I could fish there if there is no place to wade. Thanks and I really enjoy reading this forum.
I really like to fly fish but I realize that sometime thats not practial.

Welcome to the forum! I usually dont fish there, but I have heard other people on here say that the Fairhope Pier hadnt been too hot this year. I usually fish Dauphin Island mostly, Gulf Pier some. Had a few great days and lots of bad days and nights this year. Maybe since the weather is cooling off you will have some luck there and some one else can give you some better information!!!

Fly fishing saltwater is a totally different ball game and wouldn't advise it unless you are an enthusiast or the fish or so on you can catch then on almost anything. I would try flounder reds specks fishing live little fish like alewives or finger mullet
