Reed Fish Permit
A while back there were postings about a new reef fish permit being required, where do you get it? I just did the yearly saltwater registry, Migratory Bird survey and bought my Feeder Permit, but there is no Reef fish permit for sale on the Outdoor Alabama website

It is listed directly above the "Res Saltwater Fishing" line...

Not that I am going to check it off.
I am a SHOREBOUND fisherman and refuse to support this as it is being implemented.
IMHO there should be an exception for from shore and inshore fishers who catch or even target mangrove snapper.
And it is NOT about the money.
In fact I am donating the $10 I would have spent on the 'SW Reef Endorsement' to Saltwater Research...

Thanks David, I did not see it, I do have a boat and should I accidentally catch a mangrove or grouper I would hate to throw it back for lack of the permit. I don't gues I really looked under the saltwater fishing stuff cause I have been a lifetime license holder since the early 90's
