Fishing a neap tide?
Will be staying and fishing starting Nov 9th and leaving the 12th. Staying out in Ft Morgan. Looks like I'll have to deal with a neap tide. My battle plan is to fish Dixie point with a Carolina rig 4/0 circle hook and fresh cut mullet to try to catch a bull red. Have never caught a pompano so another Carolina rig with 10lb fluro leader with fresh dead shrimp and a fish bite of some kind. From Nebraska but have visited the area a number of time and love the fishing and the food. Have a number of other places to fish from past experience and will fish till I drop or when my wife threatens to kill me if I don't stop. Where to get bait on the way out? Will be coming through Gulf Shores around 4pm on Sat. Tired of YouTube videos and Google searches but information is so key. Thanks for any kind of help from your experience. Go Fish!!!

Looks like a tropical system is forecast to come our way Saturday evening. I'd keep an eye on that - looks like you will be driving in the rain, but maybe clear Saturday night (at least that is the GFS model right now). Bull reds will probably be feeding heavy Friday/Saturday if that's right, maybe some will still be hungry early Sunday. You may need some big leads. Hooked Up would probably be most convenient for bait. It's on the south end of the SR 59 bridge (NE corner of the intersection).
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Do you mean that I need to use a longer leader?
