Swimbaits
Went out to the shop this morning and made a few dozen swimbaits in various colors. Getting ready for our annual trip to Gulf Shores in April. Fishing the pier and surf fishing the Fort Morgan area. Made these up for some trout. Last year we caught quite a few on the brown with chartreuse tail. Can't wait. Love that time of year.

FWIW, we used to do best with fluorescent green with a pink fluorescent tail (Mann's Stingray) before we switched to Gulps.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

I've been singing the praises of paddletail baits for a few years. It's my first-choice artificial for specks-n-reds! I agree about April - It's a great time of year to be fishing!

I love to them. Although last year we could only get a couple of reds to take them but the specks were all over them.
