GS surf report 07-29
Went out this morning just below Sea&Suds from 530-830am and had one of the best surf days I've had in awhile down here. Used shrimp and mole crabs, when I could find them, and caught a flounder, a ray, 2 pompano, 4 whiting, a sheepshead and another fish I've yet to identify. Of course there was the early catfish or three, but they shouldn't be counted...lol.
I waded out to the first bar and casted out just the beach side of the 2nd bar.

Never caught one that was partially filleted. I know the water is warm down there right now but dang! All kidding aside congrats on the pompano and sheepshead. Both are scarce this time of year in the surf and both are very tasty. Can't wait for cooler weather and another trip to the pier.
