Thread: Gulf Shores/OBA fishing July 1-9th

Howdy all,
I will be taking my family down to Orange Beach again for the second summer in a row. We had a blast last time. I was wondering if anybody has had any luck catching anything bigger than a whiting or a sand trout off the beach or at the pier as of recent and if the fish are eating something more than any other bait. Just trying to figure out what all to bring.

There are PLENTY of rays and sharks (though landing sharks may involve 'issues' ;-)
And always the chance for a stray bull red of black drum or even jack crevelle.

Are they catching them in the surf as well. I'll be staying in orange beach right by the bridge.
