Hey Guys,
We are headed down to Gulf Shores this Friday, we are bringing paddle boards and kayaks. We also plan on fishing some off of the pier. What are you guys catching right now? We are also bringing fly rods so any help in that department is greatly appreciated!

Spanish Mackerel has been the highlight for the past week and they are being caught with gotcha lures. There has also been scattered pompano and flounder in the shallows with the occasional red drum. A king mackeral has been landed this season and have been very few and far between. Good luck with your tripQuote:

Pink Charlies will be good for macks. You might find at night specks under the lights on Little Lagoon
You can check the daily pier reports for what has been caught. Fly rods are not the most efficient fish catching tools in the salt water, but I wish you luck.

Fly fishing from paddle boards is something new to me. It must be for folks younger than myself.
And a LOT more coordinated than me.
Surprisingly it is very stable!!! If you guys see me down there holler at me and I will let you take it out for a spin ;)
