What might be catchable the last weekend in October?
#r or any
Of the other regulars, I may be able
to set up a trip down there the last
weekend in October. What might be
biting then? It really doesn't matter,
heck I had fun catching remoras
the 1st of July. How crowded is the pier
then, I would probably get to fish some
on Friday and then maybe all day
Saturday. Thanks in advance for all
the help.

You can look at page 13 and 14 on the Pier Report Category and check out what took place that time last year. In my opinion, the last week of Oct. is the start of the end of one of the best months to fish.As long as the water and weather conditions are good there will be something biting, spanish, kings, bonita and big reds on the end and most all of the bottom feeders in the shallows. As for the crowd, not bad at all during the week days but if the pelagics are doing their thing and we are posting it on this forum,it could be a little crazy.

what do you mean by saying "pelagics are doing their thing"? Pelagic fish?

I'm talking kings a spanish.Last Oct. the kings took a vacation but who knows what will happen this year. The bottom line is this and we all know it to be true, only Jesus can make the fish bite on demand. So come prepared and accept the hand that's been dealt.

Not sure about the Kings, but pretty sure both Jesus and Pier#er can make the spanish bite on demand.
Last year that time, we were crushing the spanish using baby LY. So, bring your small red ribbon. That was as much fun as the King.
