Inshore Trip Advice
We will be down the week of May 9th. My son and I plan to fish the pier as many mornings as we can. He really wants to go on an inshore trip, can some of y'all who live down there give me an idea if we might have some luck on a trip then and who would be a good Captain to go with.?
Thanks in advance for all your help and comments

May is a great month for inshore fishing here!
Know about Alabama's Inshore Moon Trout with Jay Gunn - Alabama Gulf Coast Fishing
Captain Jay Gunn worked for Alabama’s Marine Resources for 14 years and now he guides inshore fishermen at Fort Morgan, Ala., and fishes Mobile Bay. Although Gunn enjoys catching redfish and flounder, big speckled trout are his primary target.

Jay is now the inshore guide for Troy Frady's Fisherman's co-op and a forum member
I'd also recommend David Brown or Ralph Young (guys I have known for 35 years!)

I went with Dave Brown last year, and although the fishing was slow, the effort on his part was second to none. Mike Peek is another good option. I know he is doing a bunch of billfish fishing now, so his inshore availability may have changed some.

Pier#r named the guys I'd have picked. If you want to do some trolling for mackerel and reds for a half day, you man is Joe Garris who fishes out of Ft. Morgan. He has been in the charter business just about forever. Check out DottieJoe Charters.com. Phone 251-213-6680. If he can't help you, he will refer you to someone who can.

We used Captain Ringo last year, great trip, great time. Would recommend him to anyone especially with kids. Just my 2 cents. 251-504-5867
