Jamming JAWS
Maybe this company (Sharkbanz) will ship the pier a few of these to try on our local shark population. Could be good advertisement for their product if it works as advertised. I emailed the company and asked if they would consider providing a few to the pier office for trial by some of the regulars. They are $75 a pop so most would want to know if they really work before investing. I by nature am a “DoubtingThomas”.

Question for those of you who frequently fish from the pier. What month(s) are the prime period for shark infestation at the pier? Sharkbanz may be willing to provide some of their Zeppelins for a pier workout.
Thanks for your input.

It follows the mackerel migration.
So it generally starts in late March, peaks in the summer (June, July, August & September), then thins out late in October.
I have not seen a shark there the past two weeks!

My sons and I watched a big tiger shark eat a monstrous pelican right off the surface between the Octi and the Nub while fishing one morning in late July. There were a ton of sharks around at that time, mostly 3-5'ers in varying species. They ALL skeedaddled when the the tiger came around though.

The sharks left the Four Seasons pier when the Spanish left.
