Damn i'm lazy to get my mold to make mine :-[ you gona kill the spanish on them :headbang:
Looking good Bill! Looks like you used spray paint? You'll probably want to look into powder paint when you have time. Those toothy critters will scar up spray paint pretty quick if you don't epoxy them. Baked on powder holds up good. Here's what I poured and tied up over the last few days. I still have to put the eyes on the ling jigs and put the epoxy on them.

yours looks good Rob....It was suggested to use epoxy appliance paint....not sure about the toothy critters and holding up....they have been clear coated several times....so who knows....just got the white in the powder paint....and wanted theses done sooner....they are for the kids to use....I think I am going to make a fluid bed for the powder paint and these smaller jigs
What kind of hair is that on your ling jigs?? ....I did a couple too, but not real heavy....heck I can't see them that far away anyway....they be close to the pier if and when I see them....so no real need for heavy....when are you coming down??
It's bucktail Bill. Here's a link for the crimped nylon too. They're great people to deal with and when I bought mine a couple months ago it was cheap!

Thanks Rob!!! I just powder coated a few, and really is probably easier and faster then painting and waiting to dry to do another coat....This was the first for me, and really like the powder paint....thanks for the link too....and have good luck when you get down to fish!!!!
You'll like the powdercoat. After baking at 350 for 20 minutes they're tough.
I'm still debating on when I'm coming down but it's going to be hard to wait any longer than the first week of April. I still can't believe the kings are already there!
just ordered some crimped hair....small amounts to see what and if I like it....I'll be there April 5th-16trh....and your right seemed real nice to deal with!!! thanks again :headbang:

what color are the lite pink jigs....I have not seen powder that color yet
I mixed that color myself Bill. I added hot pink to pearl white. A little of the hot pink goes a long ways so add it a little at a time until you get the color you want. The pompano seem to like it. Another little trick I use is Sharpies to color the wrapping thread to the color I want. I have a HUGE spool of white nylon thread that I transfer to regular thread spools with the help of a cordless drill and a 1/4 inch bolt and nut. That way I can use it with a bobbin. Just color the thread before you seal it with the super glue.
