i know the kids tournament was pretty much Pete's thing but is anyone going to do it this year? i brought 3 kids down last year and i know there are about 6 or 7 wanting to come this year.
just wondered since Pete has not shown so far this year.

I've been waiting for this topic to be brought up and all I can say is if you or somebody else wants to take the ball and run with it,that would be great. But I will say this if it were to be done, the day of the picnic would be a good day but only make it a few hour deal, not all day.Just my $.02.
I would be willing to donate my time to help put it on.
i would love to help but being that i am 400 miles away i am probably not the best person to get it going. i just wondered if it was being talked about behind the scenes.
when is the tournament what age group is it and what are we trying 2 catch? king mackerel?
Hey guys, I am pretty new to pier fishing, I have been out the past couple times with pierboy ( Sonny) with my 6 year old son. He has the pier fever. We plan on coming down on the 28th and I would like to know more about if there is going to be a kids tournament, and if so, what could I do to help? Thanks
[size=12pt]Last year’s tourney was a bust. There was not a single King caught and the prizes weren’t awarded. It was supposed to be rescheduled, but I’m not sure if it ever was.
Many of the kids are now more skilled than a lot of us old farts and the Picnic is the opportune time to get the next bunch of youngsters hooked up on a big fish and hooked on pier fishing.
So bring on the kids and let’s have fun. There is plenty of unofficial competition and personal reward without a tournament. IMHO
