seeker hercules is a good one
Lures, live bait, dead bait, length, line weight and reel all come into play when making a decision
I want the rod to be 8 foot, able to throw a live bait far and may be a cigar minnow, and i want a 706z on it with about 16 pound 16 to 20 pound test.
Budget for blank ?

batson swb80ml is a nice, fast tip blank for someone on a budget. Gator BS596 is a good cig slinger too. Calstar makes some good blanks. My personal favorite is a batson SW1027, moderately fast action, awesome at throwing lures but takes a little getting used to trying to snobble.
