The old timers say they used to migrate up the Alabama River before all them damn dams got built.
But I think its just old fishermans tales.
We all know a smoker king could easily jump a little ole dam and keep right on going.

Maybe he's asking if kings are coming closer to shore (north, from their previous positon)? That's my guess.

I'm pretty sure it's still legal to net mackerel in the Black Warrior River, but I think the Red Snapper season there runs the same as the Federal season in the Gulf. It is, however, illegal to take speckled trout with any handheld explosive device or to take, or attempt to take redfish with any caliber smaller than .225. Originally Posted by CarlF
