I have a couple of friends that are fishing at the pier for a couple of days. I have passed on info that I have gathered from recent reports on the forum, but they need just a little guidence from some of you locals that will be there tomorrow. Do any of you have a few minutes to help them out tomorrow? Not looking for a guide, just a little advice to steer them in the right direction so they can catch some fish. THANKS!

This is my friend Mike (gdaddy on forum). If you see him and his grandson on the pier tomorrow or Saturday, please introduce yourself and give him a few pointers so his grandson (Jackson) can catch some fish. This pic was taken on his only trip to the pier with me this spring. Tell him that TUCK asked you to give him some pointers. Thanks again!
Sorry, but I won't make it to the pier until Saturday, if then. Tell him if he sees my "Haywire" flag, to come up and say howdy and I'll be glad to share what little I know.
Thank you very much! It's good people like you that makes GSSP my favorite place to fish! I sent him to J&M for some advice and tackle, so maybe he will already have a leg up! I hope to be able to bring him back with me in September if the bigger spanish show up by then.
Tuck, I wish your buddy the best of luck. Anyone who is willing to endure the heat and humidity deserves a good catch. I usually take August off and only go out once in a while. If I hit the pier for pics, I will look for you friend. Stay cool. :cool:

Fin, you missed a VERY pleasant day yesterday.
The breeze made it feel quite mild for August and we were even catching a few fish besides remoras ;-) lol
Thanks for the replies! I talked to him around 0800 and they hadn't caught anything, started fishing before daylight, but he also said nobody else was catching any that he had seen. #r, we caught those spaniards earlier this year before it got hot. Hope to bring him with me later this year when it cools off a little. I'm no pro by far, but with the help from all of you that post reports and tips, I'm learning!
Werd was of another SLOW bite today, but it picked up friday evening.
