Does anyone know what they are trying to do down at the Little Lagoon Pass? Also, I would imagine that the new sea wall along the Perdido Bay Pass makes fishing off of it much easier, but are people catching fish off of it?

Little Lagoon Pass: they are 'trenching' across the mouth again (from east to west)...

There are fish being caught off the repaired area at Perdido Pass. Give thanks to the city of Orange Beach. The state of Alabama owns the area but would not repair it. The City recognized the value of the area and stepped up. The completed area is phase 1! There are two more phases coming. Handicapped people now have easy access to an area where they can fish. I caught flounder and mangrove snapper last month there.
THANK YOU ORANGE BEACH.
Thank you oldfisherman, that is good to hear. It has to be better than what it has been the last few years. Does the area under the bridge look the same as what it did, or did they do something to that area too? I'm not sure if the dredging will help the Little Lagoon area as far as the fishing is concerned, it could help the boat traffic for a while. We will have to see how long it will last.
Flyguy,
the little lagoon pass has had extensive coverage on the forum. You can search the topic and find out what and why.
The Perdido pass has cost Orange Beach almost 7 million so far and the state won't help out at all. Sure owe them a big thank you. Sad to say though it is only temporary until someone replaces the sea wall. And yes, the area under the bridge remains the same. Fenced off.
Thank you for the update Todd. We stay at the Sanibel, which is a short walk from the Little Lagoon Pass. I have spent many hours fishing there, very little catching. I have also spent many hours up at Perdido Bay Pass and have pulled some sheeps from under the bridge. But, you have to be the first one there so that you get the right spot. If your the second or third one there, you will be just fishing and not catching, but that not so bad.
Sounds like you may be hauling a Lab pup back!
