does anyone know how long it will take authorities to re-dredge the pass at little lagoon. Planning on coming down the 2nd week of November. Does anyone know when they might start work opening that up?..

It's hard to say...The water will first have to recede from the lagoon which at this time it still is above mean high tide. Then the city guys will have to go and get depths to see what is needed in the way of dredging. Lot of current now might help us out but there was a LOT of sand pre-storm already in the pass. I'm hopeful soon...
Took these around 10 am today.
That looks like a pretty decent flow.
Did you check the mouth?
This video from Saturday afternoon captured the surge when those larger swells started coming in along with the tide...

Flow was rolling out when I took these. Water level in Little Lagoon was still over the gazebo at Oyster House Monday. It's hard to tell from these pictures but the water is only a few inches deep across most of the pass north of the bridge with the exception of a very narrow channel on the west side of the pass. BTW there are some giant sandfleas to be had on the beach right now.
I looked all week on Dauphin island last week for a sand flea. Couldn't find a one.
How's the fishing? Lol gotta figure somewhere out for my next trip. Lol
Did you fish sandfleas or 'ghosties'?
