JM tackle has them local jig
or make your own....Do it spear head mold ....it gives me something to do in the winter, or anytime being retired ....left a few behind, my last trip
also J&M .....all your salt water needs in the area
.
And, I can attest to the fact that Bill's Looney jigs work as well and look as good as the store bought ones !! I really liked the fact that he had them in weights that are not available in the shops . Thanks Ironman , I have a few left from the Fall .
I like the 3/4 oz ....decent fall rate cast good wind or not....and cheap to make for lighter tackle the 1/2 would work the similar way
I've got 30 or so that needs painted(just poured) and trying to replenish the ones I lost....when I recently poured some no roll egg sinkers
Hey ironman, where do you buy your lead molds from. Ive been thinking about getting into making jigs. also what do you paint your jig heads with.
powder paint then bake in a little toaster oven(got cheap at the thrift shop) ....I use a heat gun to heat the lead then dip in the powder paint, bake, 320 for 25 minutes ....you tube is your friend for the powder painting tips....either real deer hair or try this place
Nylon Hair
and the place I got my mold no longer carries that size....ebay should work

ok thanks hopefully i can get good at tying them so i won't ever have to buy them again thanks for the tips
Those are some nice looking jigs ironman!
I just started myself....the first weren't the best, but I have gotten a little better with practice....making 150 + my last run..... helped
If you only need a few....I would just buy and tie, retie often
I just had a bunch of free lead to get rid of and some time to play with something new
