JayHook Inshore is grateful
for all the kind recommendations forum members gave me last year and already this year! It is most appreciated!
Keep them coming!
It's hard to believe but time passes ever so quickly! ONLY 3 years ago in December I measured my last fish on the pier for Alabama Marine Resources!
No more light blue shirts for me!!! It's funny but I pass folks in town that are used to seeing the dark blue shorts and sky blue shirt that don't even recognize me without them!
Carry on! Good fishing is only a couple weeks away! I probly should come down and visit when it kicks in!
Jay
PS I will be doing about 2 posts a week during fishing season on my business Facebook at JayHook Inshore LLC. Ya'll keep up the good work.

Just snagged this off Orange Beach Fishing Charters FB page...
When Captain Jay Gunn grabbed this 490 lb mako shark, he had no idea he had a "tiger by the tail."
This monster fish roared his terrible roar and gnashed his terrible teeth but Jay hung on until the battle was won.

That is a lot of Mako steaks... Yum!

Die if you must, but die on your home turf with your face to the wind, not in some stinking hellhole 2,000 kilometers away, among people you neither know nor care about.

If you think watching one swim by the pier is a rush...Just wait until you are the pup (THAT"S ME!) on the other end of the gaff!!! It was pretty awesome having 464# of Mako at eye level 6' away! He was almost 11'...so about 4' of him is above the waterline. Without a doubt the highlight of my fishing days SO FAR....
