Mid-July Surf GS
I will be down in mid-July and surf fishing while there. I have 7' rod loaded with 10# line, 10' rod loaded with 12#line and
two 12' rods, one with 14# the other with 16# line.
Do I have the bases covered or overkill/underkill? I am not targeting any specific species, I am used to fishing mid-east coast with pyramid sinker and 2 hooks.
Not sure of the name of the house but it is about 150 yds east of the new bridge, how is fishing in that area of surf?

Not sure about that specific area, but it should have reds, specks, pomps, etc there.
Your rod setup leaves little to be desired, sounds like you've got every species covered.
Live shrimp, or fresh dead(peeled) on bottom.
gotchas and jigs will produce blues, ladyfish and possibly a red.
Cut bait or small ly's for your reds.
