Cedar Point
Anybody ever tried cedar point pier at night I'm going Saturday and never been night fishing?

Only half joking, it can get a little anarchical out there at night.
I wouldn't go unless I was in a group of people, wouldn't take my kids or wife period... Not at night.
From what I hear/read, the fishing can be interesting, fish the far east end, cast towards the bridge with fresh shrimp, apparently lots of Big Uglies caught there.
Bull sharks, Alligator Gar, Specks, White Trout, Reds, Flounder and more have been reported.
In all my time here, I've never bothered with it, too many better places to fish.Ragnar Benson:

Yea I would love to go to gulf shores but it's so much out the way and I will be going Monday to dauphin island during the Fay I was just giving cedar point pier at night with a friend.He went last night and something broke his leader I have think it was a big ugly

You would be much better off fishing the island. Great spots for trout and I've heard many reports of Reds and flounder. My wife will not even let me look at cedar point when we drive by.
