Well my new avet sx will be here Wednesday! what rod should I put it on?

What kind of fishing do you plan to do with that?

Regardless of what you will be doing with it, I would put it on a spiral wrapped, aka acid wrapped rod. John G showed me a Calstar blank yesterday (GX8 if I'm not mistaken) that would make a great all around rod for that reel.

That sounds like a good looking rod. Does he have those online?

That was a rod blank that I was referring to, so you would have to build the rod or have it built. I am not aware of a single production rod that is spiral wrapped either. What I was suggesting would be 100% custom.
