Newbie to Pier fishing
I love to fish! I've lived in Mobile 15years but don't know a thing about saltwater pier fishing, only freshwater where I'm from in North Louisiana. Would greatly appreciate any advice given on pier fishing in GS and Dauphin Island. Thank you in advance!!!

you can go to the gulf shores pier, watch and ask questions and be nice, you will get all the info you will need that's what I did the first time I went there, but you want learn it all in one day, after many years of fishing the pier im still asking question and learning. spinning reels seem better to me to use on the pier, light to medium heavy tackle, just make sure you have reels that will hold a good amount of line, I use penn 4000 to 6000 with 12 to 16 pound test with 25 to 35 pound leader wire hopes this helps
