Re: the nightmare of the summer
We should all buy one for public display. Pier#r can install one on his hat.
We'll never use it, but at least we'd look cool.
Line us all up using them and take a photo for Fins comedy column. What not to do when fishing. Oh the comical ideas are pouring in.

My tool man (snap-on) uses them and last weekend won big fish. He said nearly everyone in their local weekly toury uses them. They fish the Florence area of the Tennessee river near Wilson Dam. Must be the deep dark water? He said after a couple of hours of fishing one he's sore from the weight of it. They took 3rd with 21lbs fish!

I do hear about people catching with them. It is sort of the "anti-finesse" method of fishing, but people have towed umbrella rigs for years.
Someone needs to build a floating version with a float at the center instead of a lead core, so you could snobble a whole school of baits.
Or 5 sabiki rigs at once, with one alabama rig at the top and another at the bottom to keep them untangled. The possibilities are endless.

There you go.
:yay: :yay:
Heavy pole, 50lb test, and 3+ fish per cast... just what I need for my expiring joints and bones. Puts the fun right back in to fishing!! Show that fish who's boss! Just hook'em and the lure will sink the fish right to the bottom for you. No need to let it run. Woooooo!
Re: the nightmare of the summer
I know this I second hand info but he said no multiple hookups for them.

If he would have rigged it with a bubble cork, he would have taken first place.
And oh yea...

I see that BassPro has a 5-armed clone of this "item" in the latest flier from my regional store. Coming soon to other big-box retailers near you, no doubt.

Things could get out of control quick if that gets popular. Some one needs to go scratch "No Alabama Rig" underneath the no trolley sign at the pier.
