Little Lagoon Kayaking
Hello and we will be staying in the state park soon. I noticed Little Lagoon Pass looks like its under construction. What is a good place to launch kayaks if I want to fish in Little Lagoon around the pass?

You can still launch your kayak there, but have to drag it to the water from the temporary parking lot.
There are two launch sites on the north shore but both are a couple of miles NE and NW of the pass.

You can back your vehicle down to the west end of the lot and unload onto the sand to avoid having to carry the kayak through the gravel parking lot.

We launched there last weekend. It's a short drag through the sand from the lot. The lot has been full the last few weekends with kayak arts, wade fishermen and beach-goers so another good option is the boat launch on Ft. Morgan Rd a couple miles west of 59. There you can launch from the concrete ramp or from the sandy area a few yards east of them past the grass.
