Thread: specs

I'll be coming down in September, been fishing several times on the pier but never caught any specs. are they biting in september?what do i need to rig for them ?any help would be appreciated.

Specks are indeed usually around, but so are the critter bait stealers that make fishing for trout a misery.
Sometimes they will hit small LYs and sometimes you will see them well enough to get a live shrimp through the gauntlet of pinfish and baby jacks.
