Orange Beach
Headed to Orange Beach next week, will be staying in a condo on old river just east of the Ono island bridge. Can anyone tell me of mangrove snapper can be caught from the bank in this area? What else can be caught here, guessing trout, anything else here with going after?

Mangrove snapper should be a given, though finding a 'legal' one may be a bigger challenge.
Trout are a good possibility at night or daybreak. The water has been VERY clear lately.
Flounder and redfish are good options too.
The water has cooled off recently (mid to upper 70s on incoming tide and lower 70s on outgoing)...

Thanks for the info guys. I hope to catch at least one meal while we are there. Will be bringing the surf fishing gear also in hopes of catching some pompano but don't know how many times I'm gonna want to drag that gear to the beach. If the pomp's are biting it will be worth it, if not then hopefully I can get a few trout or mangos.

It's a lot easier to tote gear on and off the pier.
And you don't have to rely on your casting skills as much.
Just saying.

Yep The pier is so much easier Every once and a while I drag my 10 ft stepladder out there with me to get my eye on the fishes I started thinking Dude you’re bringing the pier with you🤣
