As I understand it, you can enter the date you wish to start fishing and it is good for a week.
Wal-Mart yes,but most shops stop selling them several years ago when the state went to a calendar year instead of day of purchase. The state went that route so stores would be so bombarded with people in line that they would quit selling them being the retailer was only making fifty cents per license.
