Thread: Gulf shores area pier and surf fishing advice

I am not from the area, but I am staying in Gulf shores next week for vacation. I fish plenty but have no experience fishing from the surf or pier. Not necessarily trying to target big fish, just wanting to catch whatever will bite. Any advice on gear, bait, tackle and locations would be greatly appreciated.
