Conditions next week?
Coming down to GS next week, what is the expected conditions following hurricane Michael? Will water be calmed back down by Monday?

We'll know more after tomorrow, I'm sure. There's going to be a few days of hardhead catfish and sailcats, likely, but I'd think that by next week the water would be settled down a bit. There may not be this huge inflow of muddy water coming from Mobile Bay, which I'd think would be a good thing. Temps are supposed to start becoming more seasonal, which should help the fishing. So if I had plans to come next week, I'd come on down, rather than put them off for later. Let's first make sure that there's no damage to the pier. I heard on the news that they've closed this afternoon already, in preparation of the storm.

The fishing is going to be dynamite next week simply because it's going to cool off and I'll be up the country planting food plots.

Thanks for the replies. I am coming down next week good weather or bad. If it does then out to be bad the liquor store will draw a bigger profit.

IF there is a 'silver lining' in all this bad weather associated with "Michael", it would have to include the water temperature dropping about 5 degrees which puts it right about where it should be for the 2nd week in October...

Thanks again for the info. Looking like maybe I picked a good week to hit the beach.
I will be staying near Perdido Pass, will mostly be surf fishing, what can I expect to be biting this time of year?
