Nope never seen it before.
Have heard of it but never tried it.
I've had anglers come in the store looking for it.
They said theyuse it on hard baits (like MirrOlures) for trout & redfish.
They said it's best to squirt it on the lure and let it dry in the air for a few minutes so it will stay on longer.
some claim it remains for 15-20 minutes.
I tried it on soft plastics for Spanish, but unfortunately there weren't any around to be caught. Haven't given up on it completely, though. Got a bottle in the freezer.
How much does it cost? I've never heard of it before.
This is the formula everyone asks about...
Inshore Salt Water Formula Super Gel - Super Gels - Scents - PRODUCTS | PRO-CURE
Quote:
A killer blend of just about everything inshore species feed on. Anchovies, sardines, mullet, menhaden, shrimp, squid and ghost shrimp make this gel irresistible to most species. Works great on lures, plus soft plastics, swim baits, and even real bait.
I watched a couple videos where guys claimed you need a scent to catch flounder. Their claim was either use Pro cure, gulp, or live or cut bait strips on your jigs. When they used soft plastics without built in scent they added Pro Cure. He liked Shrimp or Inshore.
Hummm,,, Interesting.
They have sand flea & sand shrimp.
I may be the Guinea Pig and order some. LOL ;)

I tried the sand shrimp about 10 days ago. Smeared into the hair on a pompano teaser fly and on the jig itself. I had no luck. Maybe the fish weren't there but I wouldn't buy it by the gallon just in case. I have seen a 1/2oz white Looney jig tipped with a belly strip out fish live bull minnows but the old guy using the jig has some skills that I don't.
With that mixture might need to it cool. Would hate to spill inside the truck. Might lost some value
I use Pro Cure on all the time on my soft plastics.
I use mullet procure on my soft plastic paddle tails for redfish and flounder on the lagoon when bouncing the bottom. I have not had as much success with procure as I have had using gulp baits , especially for flounder with the 3" shrimp using a jig head . Procure stays on the soft plastics really well and is extremely oily , but it just isn't as big of a hype as gulp is because it doesn't work as well in my past experiences.
That is true , you don't need a scent to catch flounder . Throwing any type of minnow imitating lure including Matrix Shad or DOA CAL paddle tails are excellent on a light jig head hovering over the bottom. Flounder are sight feeders anyway. They wait to ambush any baitfish coming in there path and then they'll attack it. Attractant helps them hold on a little longer if you're not confident or smooth enough with the hook set . Also , it's a big self confidence thing as well cause we all know confidence is a key factor while fishing .
Friends use gulp shrimp with great success for the flounder, out of a boat in the bay
i found a large tub of gulp new penny skrimps for 1.96 on my walmarts clearance rack! i guess i'll try for flounder some this next trip
They keep well to.....just put the one used back in the container for future trips(without the hook):D
